Editorial Guidelines

If you are interested in contacting our editorial department (email address below), please read the following points which may answer your questions first:

Press releases

  • We welcome releases which are related to small businesses, start-ups, and enterprise in general.
  • We do not write about individual companies, or publish ‘success stories’.
  • Due to the volume of releases we receive, we cannot always reply unless the release is to be used on the site.

Links / Resources

  • We do not trade links with other sites unless they are of genuine interest to our readers.
  • We do not provide paid text links.

Third party articles

  • We do occasionally use third party content, such as articles, if we feel they may be of use to our visitors.
  • Any articles must be written uniquely for Bytestart, and may not appear elsewhere on the web.
  • All articles must be impartial and objective, and we suggest around 800 words in length (although this will vary).
  • We don’t provide editorial for SEO purposes, although we’re happy to provide a link back and a brief author bio.

Events

  • Please feel free to contact us if you are running a small business event which may be of wider interest to a UK audience.

Forward Features Lists

  • We do not publish forward features lists.
