Turner Report - A tax too far for small businesses?

Following on from our article, "Higher retirement age could harm small businesses", our favourite newspaper, The Times, has published a good summary of the impact the Turner Report may have.

In essence, UK workers just starting out in business might have to delay their retirement until the age of 68 (or older) under a shake-up of the UK pensions system proposed this week by Lord Turner.

The Times has also compiled reaction from the FSB, the Centre for Economic and Business Research, and others on the impact these proposals may have for small businesses.

"The bottom line is that most small employers simply cannot afford it and would be forced to make damaging cuts in other areas"
