Free advice on acquisitions for growing businesses

 print  e-mail

A free seminar explaining how companies can use acquisitions as a means to grow is being held by PKF accountants and business advisers at its London offices on 22 March.

Growing your business will take expanding businesses through the acquisition process – from agreeing a strategy through to implementation – and will provide practical tips and advice on making an acquisition.

Speakers have been selected to represent the typical advisers used on a deal – accountants, bankers and solicitors – and include tax partner David Mellor and corporate finance partner Jeff Harris of PKF; Paul Beaumont, senior manager at Nat West; and Patrick Cannon of Field Fisher Waterhouse corporate finance.

Growing your business will cover:

  • Strategic rationales

  • Target identification

  • Doing the deal

  • Vendor negotiations, funding negotiations and due diligence

  • Closing the deal

  • Implementation

Jeff Harris, partner at PKF, said: "The Growing your business event is a unique opportunity to hear experts talk together about the practicalities of successfully purchasing a chosen acquisition target.

"Acquisition is a very effective way for a 'growing business' to expand; however, many are too scared to make that step or just do not know where to start. This seminar will help business owners through the process from start to finish and give them an in-depth insight into how to make a successful acquisition."

The seminar will take place from 5pm – 6.30pm. To book a place please contact Chris Beresford on 020 7065 0143 or email: chris.beresford@uk.pkf.com.
