The Apprentice - Alan Sugar returns for series 2
Fans of the first series of the BBC's 'Apprentice' will be pleased to hear that the series returns this February, with another selection of 'entrepreneurs' ready to have their business (and stress management) skills put to the test by tycoon Sir Alan Sugar.
Last year Tim Campbell, a former transport manager for London Underground, beat the rather grating Saira Khan to the £100k prize.
Although the show does simulate a number of business situations, and creates a highly watchable series of competitions between the teams, the star is without doubt Sir Alan sugar himself.
As last year's runner up Saira Khan says: "It’s scary being in that boardroom because you have no idea what Sir Alan is thinking and what he’s going to bark at you. He does not suffer fools gladly and if you hit a nerve, he’s going to come down on you hard!
So, if Sir Alan's hourly appearances in the recent blanket TV advertising for National Savings haven't put you off, the new series of The Apprentice starts on Wednesday 22nd February at 9pm (on BBC2).
You can read more about the new series, together with mugshots of the contestants, on the BBC Apprentice site.
Following the first series, Sir Alan also provided the BBC with some Top Tips to getting ahead in business.
