Get a free £30 Google Adwords Voucher

If you have a website and would like it to generate some more business, pay per click advertising could be the answer.

It can take months, even years of hard work to get high rankings from search engines for your website. But with pay per click (PPC) advertising, you can shortcut the process and simply pay to have your advert displayed alongside relevant search results.

As the name suggests, with pay per click, you only pay when somebody actually clicks on your advert, so for small businesses with tight budgets it can be a real winner.

And it gets better! You can now claim a free £30 Voucher from Google Adwords, so you'll be able to try pay per click without it costing you anything.

You can get your free £30 Google Adwords Voucher here. And to help you to master pay per click advertising, we have some excellent articles that explain everything you need to know about PPC including;

Pre-Budget Report 2007 - Inheritance Tax, CGT Changes
Here's an overview of the changes announced in the 2007 Pre-Budget Report. Includes changes to Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and the non-domicile regime.

Business Structures: Sole Trader, Limited Company, Partnership or LLP
There is not one business structure that suits every business and each structure has advantages and disadvantages. This guide outlines all the different business structures that are available to small businesses.

Why you need a cash flow forecast and how to do one
It doesn't matter what business you're in and how profitable it is, if you run out of cash, your business will struggle to continue. If you can't pay suppliers you'll have nothing to sell, and it's a quick, vicious circle from there to insolvency. Here's how to prepare a quick cash flow forecast;

New Trade Mark Laws - Trade Mark Owners Beware
From 1st October 2007 the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has changed its examination procedure for trade marks applications. While this affects all new trade mark applicants, the changes will hit existing rights holders hardest. Now is the time to take the necessary steps to protect your rights!

Corporation Tax - What it is and how it applies to your company
When you start up in business, if you choose to form a limited company then you will have to assess your business each year for corporation tax. You have to work out your own tax liability, pay that tax, and ensure you deliver all required information to Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on time. If you get it wrong or are late paying you'll get penalised. Here's what you need to know about Corporation tax.

===================

Business reaction to the Pre-Budget Report
Reaction to the Chancellor's pre-budget report, particularly in relation to the abolition of taper relief, effectively increasing the CGT rate from 10% to 18%.

Capital Gains Tax change - an anti-enterprise measure
An early stage investment specialist says the 18% flat rate CGT change is a very blunt instrument that will hit enterprising small businesses and investors willing to take higher risks much harder than private equity bankers doing large, lower risk deals.

Business groups urge Chancellor to stop abolition of CGT taper relief
In an extraordinary show of unity, the UK's four main business groups have teamed up to write an open letter to the Chancellor, urging him to suspend proposals in his Pre-Budget Report 2007 to abolish Capital Gains Tax taper relief.

Family businesses at the heart of UK enterprise
A new study shows that almost 60% of UK business people involve a family member in their business in some capacity.

British businesses turn off prospective employees
According to new research, it would appear that it is British businesses, rather than potential employees, who need to brush up during interviews.

Bio-entrepreneur school searches for delegates
Bioscientists and Biotechnology developers are being invited to apply for 30 fully-funded places on the 2008 Bio-Entrepreneur School. The School is a 3-day programme designed to help delegates develop essential enterprise skills in this very specialist sector.

Businesses urged to submit applications for Queen's Awards
Top businesses everywhere are being urged to submit their application for the 2008 Queen's Awards for Enterprise. The deadline for entries is October 31, so you need to act swiftly.

Destination Growth 07 - Ratner to deliver keynote speech
Gerald Ratner, forever associated with some unfortunate comments he made about his own jewellery business, is set to speak at "Destination Growth", a key East of England business event.
