Top tips for keeping the cash flowing
Poor cash flow is one of the main reasons for business failures.
For small businesses, a key to success is maintaining a good flow
of cash through the business enabling you to purchase raw materials,
new equipment and - at the simplest level - paying wages.
But what happens when the money isn't flowing and what can be done
to avoid a cash flow blockage? Here are some tips to help you to
keep the cash flowing;

Writing content to help promote your small business site
One of the best ways to attract visitors to your site is by
providing other relevant sites with good quality editorial relating
to your subject area. Not only will this give you a chance to
promote your service or business, but it can also indirectly aid
your search engine promotion efforts by increasing your link
popularity.
The fact that it doesn’t cost you any hard cash, just your time, is
an added little bonus! Here’s how to go about promoting your website
with useful articles.

Content Management Systems - Why bother?
There are some good reasons to adopt a content management system
(CMS) for your website, but on the face of it there are also some
fairly convincing reasons why you shouldn’t bother with one.

Businesses urged to go back to the 70's to reclaim lost VAT
Businesses are being urged to revisit tax returns as far back as
the 1970s to see if they are due VAT refunds following a Court of
Appeal ruling to scrap a three year time limit imposed by the
Government in 1997.
The Court ruled that the three-year limit had not been introduced
correctly. This opens the door to refund claims in respect of VAT
overpaid for periods before May 1997.

Starting an eBay Business - Accounting and Tax Tips
With millions of potential customers just a couple of clicks away
from your products, setting up an eBay store is a cheap, easy and
massively appealing way to do business online.
However, as with starting up any business, there are challenges
involved as well - particularly when it comes to tax, accounting
and the legal side of things. Here are some tips on what to do
when you’re starting out on eBay.
