Barclays launch free workshops to help small businesses to increase profits

Business expert Robert Craven has partnered with Barclays Bank to run 19 free workshops throughout the UK to help businesses set themselves up to increase their profit and improve their marketing.

Research from Barclays shows that 80% of small business owners want to spend up to a third of their working day developing their business, specifically on areas such as marketing and profit making strategies. Currently, a third of owners spend less than 5% of their time on these types of activities.

The need to improve their bottom line is essential for any business and attendees of the seminar will look at various profit-making strategies and develop individual action plans to help them put their tactics into action.

John Davis, marketing director for local business at Barclays says, "We know that 50% of small businesses close their doors after three years of trading, so as champions of local business we want to find ways to help these businesses go from strength to strength especially in the early years. By holding these free events it gives business owners in the opportunity to learn the essential skills to grow their business and ensure their venture continues to be a successful and profitable business."
