National everywoman Conference - London 14th November

 print  e-mail

This year's National everywoman conference will take place in London on Wednesday 14th November. The conference includes networking events, interactive workshops and a number of keynote speakers.

One of the speakers, Martha Lane Fox, is a passionate advocate of women in business and is best known as a founder of lastminute.com. More recently she launched the soho karaoke venture, Lucky Voice, and is a non-executive member of Channel 4’s management board as well as a non-executive director of Marks & Spencer.

Panel Discussions

Four inspirational entrepreneurs share the secrets of their success and how passion, persistence and perseverance led to their success:

  • Mandy Nickerson – Bales Worldwide
  • Christina Vaughan – Image Source
  • Katy Geddes – Belgravia Florist
  • Elaine Fairfax – Animal Friends Insurance

Brand building

Learn from those who have built the leading brands in their industry sectors:

  • Dame Mary Perkins – co-founder, Specsavers
Mary began Specsavers in her spare bedroom in 1984. Fast forward to 2007, the privately owned company has over 900 stores internationally, employs nearly 15,000 (of which 10,000 are women) and turns over £700 million.
  • Sharon Hilditch – founder, Crystal Clear International
Health issues as a youngster meant Sharon left school with no qualifications to become a beautician. Her unbreakable resolve enabled her to launch an international skin care range with an £8,000 loan which she has transformed into annual sales of £10 million. Crystal Clear counts Madonna, Victoria Beckham and Cindy Crawford amongst its fans.

Masterclasses

One hour workshops run by leading industry figures will enable delegates to learn and fine tune their business skills:

  • High impact, low-cost marketing with Tamara Gillian, founder SPF15
  • Effective PR with Jackie Cooper, co-founder JCPR
  • The power of telesales and telemarketing with Liz Jackson, founder Great Guns Marketing
  • Building a successful online business with Hilary Andrews, co-founder Mankind.
